Our History

2e Seattle was started in 2011 by Stephanie Bower, a local architectural illustrator, education advocate, and parent. In 2014 she turned over leadership of the group to Laurie Clark Klavins, MEd., former editor/writer and now school psychologist.  In 2016 Kathleen Allen, MEd. and Director of Education for the Seattle Youth Symphony, joined the leadership team. Laurie and Kathleen are also both parents to 2e (and non 2e) children. Others have stepped in to co-lead this growing group of 1,000 parents - and growing - in our private Facebook community and email list.
